Law enforcement officers in Yonkers, New York have been very busy raising money to support causes in their community this past March.
24th Annual YPD vs. YFD Charity Hockey Game
Yonkers police and firefighters played a friendly game of hockey to raise $13,000 for the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center and to honor fallen officer Detective William Sullivan who died in the line of duty from COVID-19 in April of 2020. Bill’s family was on hand, including his son Will, Junior who is a Yonkers police officer and who played in the game for the retiring of his jersey.
1st Annual YPD Charity Trivia Night
Yonkers officers also raised $2,500 for the American Heart Association through their trivia night with their counsel from the Quinn Law Firm, who were the winning team of the event.
