I.U.P.A. Local Lakewood Police Union, #303 Member Sergeant Ebeling was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award after an exemplary record as a SWAT negotiator for twenty-eight years!
Lakewood Police Department posted about the occasion on social media, “Today we salute Sgt. Ebeling for an incredible run as a SWAT negotiator for the past 28 years! The Rocky Mountain Tactical Team Association recently awarded Sgt. Ebeling with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his incredible work and dedication while part of West Metro SWAT. Congrats Sarge! We are very proud of the legacy you leave behind!”
The Rocky Mountain Tactical Team Association (RMTTA), who awarded Sergeant Ebeling with the award, is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting character and professionalism through training excellence.
Per the RMTTA website on the Lifetime Achievement Award, “This award is given to a long-standing member of the tactical community. His (or her) career should reflect an exemplary and lifelong commitment to the tactical community.”
They continue, “To qualify, the individual’s level of personal involvement has risen to that of a “calling” to serve the tactical community. Through such leadership and dedicated service, the recipient has enhanced the professionalism of RMTTA and SWAT teams throughout Colorado.”
