Hero Spotlight: Sergeant Bill Cashen

I.U.P.A. Local Toledo Police Patrolman’s Assn., #10 Member Sergeant Bill Cashen was recognized by the Toledo Police Department for being honored with the Patriot Award by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Ohio Field Office.

Toledo Police Department posted about it on social media, “This week, Sergeant Bill Cashen of the Toledo Police Department, along with other first responders from across Northwest Ohio, were honored with the “Patriot Award” by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Ohio Field Office. This prestigious award recognizes their exemplary service, commitment, and dedication to public safety. Congratulations Sgt. Cashen!”

The TSA published an article about it that you can read here, where they stated, “The Transportation Security Administration’s Ohio Field Office recognized more than 30 people at its annual TSA Ohio Patriot Award Ceremony, held Friday, Sept. 9 at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy in Columbus.”

The article continued, “Ohio Federal Security Director Don Barker honored TSA employees, military veterans, and others representing law enforcement agencies from across the state. The awards are intended to recognize those who have committed their lives to service and public good, as well as families with histories of military and law enforcement service that span generations.”
