I.U.P.A. Local 6020 Members took students from The Center for Independent Living of Broward on a tour to give them a look at their Aviation Unit, Marine Patrol, SWAT, K-9s and Dive Team!
Broward Sheriff’s Office posted on social media, “Students from The Center for Independent Living of Broward had the opportunity to explore all the Broward Sheriff’s Office has to offer. They enjoyed an inside look into our Aviation Unit, Marine Patrol, SWAT, K-9, and Dive Team. They were engaged with all parts of the tour, asked questions, and most importantly, learned a bit about what we do to keep people safe.”
Their post continued, “The center strives to assist people with disabilities in fulfilling their goals of independence and self-sufficiency by showing them various occupational opportunities.”
