Hero Spotlight: Officer Godson Vondee

Prince William County Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #5010 Member Officer Godson Vondee was awarded one of the Washington Regional Alcohol Program 2024 Law Enforcement Awards of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention and Enforcement.

I.U.P.A. President Sam A. Cabral penned a letter to Officer Godson Vondee, “This is your second time being given this award, and in this year, alone, you have more than 80 DUI arrests. You are one of 17 Washington-metropolitan area police officers given the award for 2024 for your outstanding commitment in the fight against drunk driving in the Greater Washington area. Your work has undoubtedly saved lives. Your efforts reflect the very highest traditions of this noble profession and are deservedly commended.”

William County Police Department posted on social media, “Congratulations to Officer Vondee who was awarded one of Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s #WRAP 2024 Law Enforcement Awards of Excellence for Impaired Driving Prevention and Enforcement at the 27th annual awards ceremony held in Tysons Corner today.  This is Officer Vondee’s 2nd WRAP award, with more than 80 DUI arrests for the current year.  Please join us in congratulating Officer Vondee for his dedication in the area of traffic enforcement and removing impaired drivers from our roadways.”
