Port St. Lucie Police Officers Association, I.U.P.A. Local 6015 Members participated in a Port St. Lucie initiative to catch reckless drivers in the act!
Port St. Lucie police officers caught reckless drivers who were speeding, driving drunk, running red lights, and participating in other reckless behaviors that put their communities in danger. The department posted photos of wrongdoers being caught in a series of posts on social media and the public got in on it, reacting to the posts and sharing them as well as requesting that the department look for reckless drivers in specific locations around town.
One such post the department shared read, “You spoke and the PSLPD Traffic Unit listened. Speeding and aggressive driving on Becker Rd. was yesterday’s focus. Needless to say, there were quite a few unlucky drivers, especially the 16-year-old speeding 69 mph in the 40 mph zone! ”
