Lebanon Police Officers Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #7 Member Officer Roy Wommack has been recognized by the City of Lebanon, Missouri; the Missouri House of Representatives; and now by the International Union of Police Associations for his lifesaving efforts.

On February 20, 2025; Officer Wommack responded to an accidental shooting where he determined that a victim was bleeding and he applied a tourniquet that the treating/transporting medic confirmed undoubtedly saved the life of the victim whose femur bone had been struck and damaged by the bullet, barely missing their femoral artery.

In April, the City of Lebanon, Missouri recognized Officer Wommack with the Life Saving Award. Afterward, the Missouri House of Representatives passed a Resolution that recognized his bravery, skill, and lifesaving work. It was then that Lebanon Police Officers Assn., I.U.P.A. Local #7 President Wesley Perryman informed the I.U.P.A. of Officer Wommack’s actions and much-deserved recognition.

The I.U.P.A., along with LEORF, now recognize Officer Wommack in this Hero Spotlight and commend him on his heroism, quick-thinking, and dedication to those he protects and serves.

The I.U.P.A. and LEORF Hero Spotlight shines a light on LEOs whose heroism, quick thinking, and dedication are examples to those in our profession and remind us all why we put on the uniform every day.
