I.U.P.A. Local Shreveport Police Union, #275 Members participated in the Next Gen Career Fest with over 50 children!
Shreveport Police Department posted on social media, “Yesterday, the Shreveport Police Department hosted the Next Gen Career Fest, an event organized by the Community Oriented Policing Bureau. The event saw participation from over 50 children, who engaged with law enforcement officers and asked questions about various aspects of their work. Events like these are crucial for ensuring the future is in good hands by fostering positive relationships between the community and law enforcement.”
The post continued, “Chief Smith expressed his gratitude, saying, ‘I want to thank our dedicated officers who attended and made this event possible, and I extend my appreciation to the Community Oriented Policing Bureau for their exceptional work once again.’ A special thanks goes to Shreveport City Marshal James Jefferson for his contribution, not only in grilling burgers for everyone but also for spending time with the K9 unit, demonstrating his commitment and passion for community engagement.”
