Bogalusa Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #85 Members Sergeant Willliam Schumaker, Corrections Officer II Leonard Powell, and Corrections Officer II Wendy Stogner were honored as Officers of the Year.
Bogalusa Police Department posted about the occasion on social media, “Join us in congratulating our 2024 Bogalusa Police Officer of the Year and our 2024 Bogalusa Correction Officers of the Year.”
They continued, “Yesterday, the Bogalusa Police Department and the Rotary Club honored Sgt. William Schumaker as the 2024 Bogalusa Police Officer of the Year. COll Leonard Powell and COll Wendy Stogner were honored as the 2024 Bogalusa Correction Officers of the Year.”
They closed with, “Each of these Officers exhibit an outstanding work ethic, and have exceptional dedication to serving our community. These Officers exemplify the professional standards of Honor, Integrity, Courage and Commitment. Our community and department are very fortunate to have these Officers. It is an honor to select and have these Officers represent the Bogalusa Police Department as the 2024 Officers of the Year!”
