Senior Officer Rick Krause has been named the 2024 Do Good Heroes Award winner by the National Life Group for his twenty years of service and good deeds!
Senior Officer Rick Krause is a member of Bel Air Police Association, I.U.P.A. Local #229 in Maryland where he serves as the Town’s primary school resource officer and leads the department’s youth explorers’ program. He coordinates the department’s summer police camp for local kids and he is a United States Army veteran.
The Bel Air Police Department posted about his achievement and recognition, “Congratulations to our own Senior Officer Rick Krause for being named a 2024 grand prize winner in National Life Group’s Do Good Heroes awards program to recognize first responders throughout the United States who go above and beyond in service to their communities. WMAR-2 News Baltimore was there to cover when Senior Officer Krause was honored for his achievement by the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners on Monday.”
The Town of Bel Air Government posted online about National Life Group and Do Good Heroes, “Do Good Heroes, which National Life Group started in 2023, is an awards program designed to recognize first responders throughout the United States who go above and beyond to serve their communities.”
They continued, “Senior Officer Krause, a veteran of the Army, has spent more than 20 years with the BAPD. He serves as the Town’s primary school resource officer and leads the department’s youth Explorer Post 9010. He also coordinates the Police Department’s annual summer Police Camp for children ages 8 to 14. Members of the Explorers are heavily involved in the camp, mentoring the younger children — the Explorers were on hand Monday to help recognize Senior Officer Krause for his grand prize win.”
They closed with, “Senior Officer Krause also works with community organizations such as the Bel Air Lions to put on events to support children and families in Bel Air and Harford County, plus he spends a portion of each summer working in Ocean City as a lifeguard with the Ocean City Beach Patrol.”
