I.U.P.A. Terre Haute, I.U.P.A. Local #133 Members welcomed students into their department in an Open House event that lasted a week and showed young people from Indiana colleges and a high school what police work is like in a real-life setting.
Terre Haute Police Department shared on social media, “This evening, the Terre Haute Police Department concluded a week of Open Houses, welcoming students from Indiana State University, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Ivy Tech Community College, and Terre Haute North High School. By opening our doors to these students, we offer an experience that goes beyond what can be provided at a traditional recruiting table or career fair. In just a few short hours, participants gain insight into the many career paths available within the field of law enforcement.”
They concluded, “Thanks to everyone who attended and to the members of THPD who took time to share their experiences with these students. Thanks to the Connelly family and Show-Me’s for catering the event each night!”
