COPS Walk October 7 – 9, 2022

This event is to honor fallen officers and will bring together survivors, friends, and members of the law enforcement community who are willing to take on the challenge of walking 25 miles in 2 days to raise funds for Concerns of Police Survivors who serve over 59,000 survivors affected by a line-of-duty death.

Course

12.5 miles during day one, and 12.5 miles during day two.  The route for COPS WALK Harpers Ferry is still under review due to COVID-19 restrictions in some areas.

Training

The 25-mile journey will be challenging, even for those who are completely prepared. Take your training seriously, but do not be intimidated. The more you train, the more energy you will have left to enjoy the experience.

C.O.P.S. was organized in 1984 with 110 individual members.  Today, C.O.P.S. membership is over 59,000 survivors.  Survivors include spouses, children, parents, siblings, significant others, and co-workers of officers who have died in the line of duty according to federal government criteria.

C.O.P.S. programs for survivors include the National Police Survivors’ Conference held each May during National Police Week, scholarships, peer-support at the national, state, and local levels, “C.O.P.S. Kids” counseling reimbursement program, the “C.O.P.S. Kids” Summer Camp, “C.O.P.S. Teens” Outward Bound Adventure for young adults, special retreats for spouses, parents, siblings, adult children, extended family, and co-workers, trial and parole support, and other assistance programs.
