Ormond Beach Officer Rick Taylor Honored with Motor Officer of the Year Award

I.U.P.A. and Ormond Beach Police Officers Association, #6075 Member Rick Taylor was recognized with the 2021 Goldwing Road Riders Association, Chapter FL 1-H, Motor Officer of the Year Award.

The I.U.P.A., the Ormond Beach Police Officers Association, and the Ormond Beach Police Department are all very proud of his achievement and his devoted service to his community. The Ormond Beach Police Department posted on Facebook to recognize this honor, “On May 19, 2022, Officer Rick Taylor of the Ormond Beach Police Department was selected as the 2021 Goldwing Road Riders Association, Chapter FL 1-H, Motor Officer of the Year. In attendance at this year’s ceremony, which was held at the RiverGrille Restaurant in Ormond Beach, was Senator Tom A. Wright. Senator Wright presented Officer Taylor with a Florida Senator’s Proclamation, proclaiming May 19, 2022, as Ormond Beach Police Officer Rick Taylor Day.”

They continued, “Chief Godfrey stated: ‘We are very proud of Officer Rick Taylor and all of his accomplishments while serving on the Traffic Unit. I don’t think anyone that works here at the Ormond Beach Police Department would argue that he is one of the hardest working and most helpful Officers we have!’ The entire Ormond Beach Police Department wishes to thank Officer Taylor for his hard work and dedication to the community.”
