Lawton Police Department in Lawton, Oklahoma shared on social media about their Citizens Police Academy. Citizens police academies are a wonderful way to build positive relationships with members of the community and to better inform the public about police work.
Day 1
“We kicked off our Jr. CPA with 16 great participants! Thank you to Ray Garcia and the staff of the Lawton Impact Community Center for hosting the Jr. CPA at their new facility!”
Day 2
“Today our participants learned about our Lake Patrol and our Gang Division! They even got a special close up look at our Lake Patrol Boat.”
Day 3
“Our participants heard from the SWAT team, Traffic Unit, and Patrol division on the various duties, responsibilities, and equipment that we use on a regular basis.”
Day 4
“The participants got hands on experience with our crime scene technician and a tour of our crime scene mobile unit. We had special guest from Teen Court and our Criminal Investigationsn Division! (Graduation Photos coming later today).”
