Officers from the Arvada Police Department in Colorado participated in the Hope for Kids Bank to School Shopping Event that was arranged by an organization called Hope, Connection, and Community. Hope, Connection, and Community is a non-profit that works to provide hope through connection, which creates community. They distribute food and other supplies to people in need. Hope, Connection, and Community fundraised over $15k to give Arvada and Wheat Ridge, Colorado students brand new backpacks full of school materials and $150 each to purchase new clothing and shoes for the school year at Target Store Arvada-South. Arvada Police Department officers helped with the shopping event and made sure everyone was safe and had a great time! Arvada Police Department shared photos of their officers with the kids at the event, thanking Hope, Connection, and Community for organizing the amazing occasion.
