I.U.P.A. Local Coalition of Police, #911 members in Harris County Constable Precinct 4 received some treats from members of the community in honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

The department posted about how COPS brought by some treats, “THANK YOU CONCERNS OF POLICE SURVIVORS!! Thank you, Annette Bennett, President of C.O.P.S Concerns of Police Survivors and her husband for stopping by our Cypresswood Station and dropping off a basket full of goodies for our deputies to enjoy on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The Bennett’s are survivors of their son, Deputy Sheriff Shane Ronald Bennett who was killed in the line of duty on June 12, 2002. May he continue to rest in peace!”

The department also posted about a community member bringing in pizza for officers the next day, “THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF US! Today, Eagle Springs resident, Brooke Williamson, bought pizza for Constable Mark Herman’s Humble station deputies. She wanted to show her appreciation and thank the deputies for their hard work in protecting the community.”

On the occasion itself, the department posted, “Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day – thank you to the amazing men and women within our agency who continue to dedicate themselves to the service and protection of our community. Your hard work never goes unnoticed.”
